Our goal with the Dayton Battle of the Bands is to provide a platform for the outstanding local musical talent in the Dayton community, while offering a prize package that helps launch them to the next level. This series provides a unique opportunity for musical acts to play in a premier Dayton venue and enjoy networking benefits from music industry professionals!​

Who should apply?

Any bands or musical acts (solos, duos welcome!) that have at least 15-20 min of original music to share and live within 35 miles of Dayton, Ohio. All genres will be considered!

 

Note: One cover song is acceptable for this competition but the rest should be original. No cover bands are accepted. If in a band, at least half the bands should reside within 35 miles of downtown Dayton (typically covers Middletown, Piqua, Springfield, etc).

Before registering your act / band, please read all the rules and confirm eligibility for your band here. Please make sure you check the performance dates and make sure all band members are available.

Applying to be part of the Dayton Battle of the Bands is free. Payment for performances is not guaranteed.​

Band applications for the 2026 opens on October 1, 2025.

Applications with close on November 3, 2025.

We will announce bands selected on December 1, 2025.
